How Sale Returns actually works.

Returns are the test of an ERP. A bad system makes returns a mess of manual journal entries, mismatched stock and angry customers. Pipetal handles returns as a first-class document: structured reasons, GL impact, stock reinstatement, all in one flow.

Every sale return ties back to the original invoice or DC, so the audit trail is unbroken from quote to delivery to return to credit note.

What you can do

Inside Sale Returns.

Linked to original invoice

Pick the source invoice or DC and the system pre-fills items, rates and quantities. No re-typing.

Reason tracking

Configurable reason masters: short-delivery, quality reject, damaged in transit, customer cancellation. Reports flag patterns.

Auto stock reinstatement

On approval, returned stock comes back to inventory at the original location and grade.

Auto credit note

A credit note is generated automatically with the reverse GL posting, the customer’s receivable balance drops the same minute.

Approval workflow

Returns above a configurable amount or for high-risk reasons go to a senior approver before posting.

Return analytics

Per-customer, per-item, per-reason return rate. Identify quality issues at the SKU level.

Approval comes through on the manager’s phone, the credit note posts, and the customer’s receivable balance updates instantly. No paperwork shuttling.
